THE ART OF LIVING- What's it all about?. . .

Through his trademarked "New Paradigm Music™" and landmark "The Art of Living: What Do I Think About It?" two disc music project, Raja embraces the role of a messenger whose capacity for raising the human dialogue beyond racial, religious, political, educational, ethnic and economic boundaries is both inspired and inspiring. In speaking to our collective humanity as well as our individual quest to better know ourselves, our purpose and our connection to all that is, "The Art of Living" unfolds a journey of enlightenment, inspiration and self-discovery that is beyond compare.

Drawing upon the influence of myriad musical styles to underpin messages of self-love and collective responsibility - "The Art of Living: What Do I Think About It?" is a blissful blend of the philosophical thrust of, "Wake Up Everybody," "What's Going On?" "We Are The World," and another of Raja's favorites (an old James Cleveland gospel song) titled, "Ordinary People."

From "Spiritual Revolution" to "Have Mercy," "Anytime We Come Together," "The Necessary Understanding," and "Rise" (tracks from disc 1), on to disc two, and "The Decree," "The Called and The Chosen," "The Kingdom of God is Within," and "I Come - A Song of Spiritual Renaissance," Raja's talent for deeply insightful, informative and inspiring song crafting is artfully supported by dynamic, varied and equally inspired musical composition; spearheaded by his production cohort Peter Moore, of Black Jacket Music Production, also in Atlanta.

Living true to his calling, Raja is passionate about arousing, awakening, inspiring and imploring us to "get our true life groove on." Sharing the inspiration behind the album title, which he received in 1989, he shares that "Each of us is commissioned to make our lives a masterful work of art. Each thought we think, and every word, action and emotion we deploy adds a stroke to the canvas, sounds a note of resonance or discord to the composition or, in some fashion, lands a blow to the chisel that both sculpts our lives as well as collective consciousness."

Raja declares that he is here to sing and speak a revitalizing truth to usher those who hear him back into alignment with our essence or spiritual core. And, while it is often unavoidable to have an artist's quest to speak to spirituality stall along the narrow path of his or her personal convictions, that's not where Raja takes us. "The Art of Living: What Do I Think About It?" is a timely musical enticement that simply beckons us to listen to and live after the highest tenets of our humanity.

In response to questioning his decision to release a two disc project in the midst of what are reasonably difficult financial times, Raja responds that his decision is "purpose driven." In considering "The Art of Living" much needed food for the human soul, spirit, and psyche, he says he could not, in good conscious, hold any of it back. So, he laid out the whole banquet, which includes five spirit-infused instrumentals which rounding out Disc 2.

From Disc 1 - track 3 - titled, "Anytime We Come Together - A World Anthem," Raja shares, "If the conditions in the world are going to get any better, we've got to come together and stop fighting one another, making havoc and war; and prepare our minds for a new way, so that our spirits can soar." Raja's "The Art of Living: What Do I Think About It?" is a labor of love that - while providing each of us plenty to think about - unleashes a surge of self-validation and inspiration that should provide a much needed boost to cause our collective sense of well-being to soar, indeed!
