A TRIBUTE TO MARCENIA LAFLUER

Marcenia Delores LaFleur (Marci) made her transition on June 3, 2008, approximately 2 weeks after we completed our work on The Art of Living. I clearly recall our dancing together and my declaration to her that she was my best friend. Her response to me was that I was her best friend. In that Marci has a plethora of dear friends, I graciously accepted her acknowledgement. Yet, thinking that she was merely caught up in the moment, I inquired whether she was declaring me as her best friend because I acknowledged her as mine. Marci quickly and at the same time firmly and gently refuted that notion; emphatically stating a few reasons why that was so.

Aside from this special moment of endearment, the greatest compliment she ever paid me was to equate my spiritual integrity, conviction and humanity with that of her father whom I consider one of the three most wonderful people I've been blessed to meet in this lifetime. It bears saying that Marci is one of the remaining two. Her contribution to the music that has emerged as a defining quality of I AM Unlimited Ministries is unquestionable.

On a personal note, Marci was my heart. And, during the 15 years we shared, had I told her so a million times more, it would not have been enough. Though her voice continues to resound in the music we composed, Marci's presence in my life and the lives of those she touched is sorely missed. From vocal arranger, group organizer, rehearsal master to best friend, Marci's sweet spirit mixed with an ample measure of personal conviction and resolve were and remain the essence of the I AM Unlimited Vision. SHINE ON ANGEL!!!
